About LJD
Built to make rights accessible, enforceable, and real.
The League for Justice and Development mobilizes the power of law and accountability to protect people, communities, and the planet from injustice, exploitation, and systemic abuse.
Our history
LJD was founded in response to growing global injustice, inequality, impunity, and systemic human rights violations affecting vulnerable and marginalized communities worldwide. It was built on years of legal practice, human rights advocacy, and field experience working with migrants, refugees, displaced populations, and communities affected by conflict, corruption, environmental harm, and economic exploitation.
As an international legal and human rights organization, LJD works to bridge the gap between human rights principles and practical justice through law, strategic advocacy, community empowerment, research, and institutional engagement. We promote access to justice, accountability, enforceable rights, and sustainable development while supporting communities whose voices are too often ignored within legal, political, and economic systems.
